What's new

Everything we've shipped, newest first. PayCraft ships in waves — and a statutory change is a data edit, not a release.

Navigation redesign + depth across every module

    Release
    • New two-tier navigation: a slim, collapsible module sidebar plus a contextual sub-nav (section tabs) inside each module — one focused screen per task instead of everything stacked on one page.
    • Leave: policy differentiation by department/location/type, seniority-based accrual, certificate uploads, backdated requests, probation rules, and automatic loss-of-pay handling.
    • Core HR: profile photos, structured exit interviews with reason analytics, PF (Form 2) nominations, and employee-initiated separation from self-service.
    • Payroll: salary hold, maker-checker (four-eyes) approval, per-employee off-cycle runs, attendance-driven overtime, and one-click PDF documents.
    • Performance & Learning: cycle-linked goals, configurable rating scales, a skill matrix, and instructor-led / blended training sessions.
    • Statutory: Section 89(1) arrears-relief calculator and Form 12BA perquisite statements; recruitment screening questions; multi-legal-entity support.

    Wave 4 — Grades, talent grids, FBP & full-and-final

    Wave 4
    • Pay grades & bands with band-vs-actual analysis, plus a nested business-unit tree for org structure.
    • IT investment declarations (80C/80D/HRA/NPS/home-loan) with proof-of-investment upload and admin verification feeding TDS.
    • Dedicated Full & Final settlement worksheet — pro-rated salary, gratuity, leave encashment, notice recovery and loan/reimbursement netting in one payable.
    • Hiring requisitions: raise → approve → auto-opens a job.
    • 9-box talent grid (performance × potential) and a merit matrix that turns ratings into increment % and CTC plans.
    • FBP cafeteria — admin-defined flexi components and employee self-allocation.

Wave 3 — Attendance, payroll depth, statutory returns & analytics

    Wave 3
    • Attendance policy engine (grace, late-mark, half-day/absent auto-classification), overtime & on-duty requests, shift types and a date-effective roster.
    • Payroll loans & advances with EMI auto-deduction, retrospective arrears, and reimbursement-in-payroll — all applied as post-engine adjustments (engine untouched, 23/23 tests pass).
    • Statutory depth: Form 16 Part B, all-state PT + LWF reference, and a challan payment tracker.
    • Expense & travel: category limits, per-diem, mileage, receipts, policy flags, and travel advances with settlement.
    • Documents: template builder with {{merge}} fields, bulk letters, and expiry tracking.
    • Analytics hub with headcount, attrition, diversity and payroll-cost dashboards (pure-SVG charts).

Wave 2 — Platform, RBAC & Core HR depth

    Wave 2
    • Configurable approval-workflow engine — per-module, multi-level steps with a "My approvals" inbox and out-of-office delegation.
    • Granular custom roles layered over the base RBAC (HR Business Partner, Payroll Specialist, and more).
    • Global search across employees, jobs, assets, tickets, documents and positions, plus a self-serve report builder and bulk CSV export.
    • Core HR depth: rich profiles (family/education/experience), audited lifecycle timeline (confirmation/promotion/transfer), org chart, positions & headcount, onboarding journeys and a custom-field form builder.

    • Postgres RLS as defence-in-depth on top of verified app-layer tenant isolation.
    • DPDP-aware data handling, field-level PII encryption (PAN + bank) and an append-only audit log with actor + IP.
    • SCORM/xAPI support in the LMS and a recruitment agency portal.
